From Yapap / Yammini Homestays:
Long Boat
Long boat is the most common way to get around once in Misool
The journey from the Yapap / Yammini area takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to Balbulol
The cost for the boat is usually charged as a day hire or as a part of a tour with multiple stops organised through the homestay
This would typically be around 3,000,000 to 4,000,000 IDR and can be split amongst passengers
The best way to approach this would be to message your homestay on whatsapp in advance to get an understanding of pricing

General Tips
Note that the area is only accessible via boat.
The boat will likely take you to the small wooden jetty which offers some shade and is a great place to have lunch.
From the jetty there is also a ladder allowing you to go for a swim in the lagoon.
The jetty is also the starting point to undertake a short hike to the upper view point.
This takes around 5 minutes and consists of a series of extremely steep, widely spaced wooden planks, which are in very poor condition, often falling apart.
I would take great care, taking your time to walk up and down the stairs keeping 3 points of contact with the railing at all times.
The top view point offers as stunning panoramic lookout of the lagoon below.
However it is important to be cautious given that there is no guard rails preventing a fall from the steep cliff edge.
In general the best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon for the best light conditions and fewer boats.
Also of note is that a number of drones have been attacked whilst flying in the area by eagles, so its important to remain vigilant.
Where to Next
Kawawapop Love Lake: Whilst exploring Misool, it’s well worth visiting Kawawapop Love Lake, located a short boat ride away. This naturally heart-shaped lagoon is known for its striking aerial viewpoint, where vibrant turquoise water contrasts beautifully with the surrounding limestone karst formations.
Dafalen Peak: Directly opposite Yammini Homestay, Dafalen Peak offers a short hike up to a viewpoint which eventually over looks another love heart shaped lagoon in the northern part of Misool.
Kalig Beach is one of Misool’s most striking coastal spots, located in the remote reaches of Raja Ampat, Indonesia. Known for its soft white sand and vivid turquoise water, the beach is framed by towering limestone karst formations that rise sharply from the shoreline. Accessible only by boat, Kalig Beach offers a peaceful, untouched setting where crystal-clear water laps gently against the sand, and nearby reefs provide excellent snorkeling.
