From Sorong, travellers can either take an overnight ferry (8–10 hours) or a fast ferry (around 5–6 hours) to Yellu Harbour in Misool. Once in Yellu, your homestay or resort will usually arrange a final longboat or speedboat transfer to your accommodation.

The best time to visit Misool is generally between October and April, when sea conditions are calmer, diving visibility is at its best, and transport connections are more reliable.
